Annotation:
Developed in our group metallocene-based iridium pincer complexes show excellent catalytic activity for cyclooctane dehydrogenation. We have studied catalytic dehydrogenation of secondary alcohols with iridium pincer compleces in solvent free conditions, to give H2 and ketones. We found that ferrocene-derived electron-deficient alkenes and alkynes react under catalyst-free condition with N-heterocyclic compounds (indole and pyrrole) and amines to give corresponding Michael adducts and products of hydroamination.
